They were a tight band, with some good melodies and some killer guitar licks! Here is a quick sample from the night, sorry for the little distorted sound, but the venue is quite small and there is only so much you can pick up with a camera phone Anyways, I hope next wednesday will also have something good in store for us Mumbaikars!

Usually the venue does have really good artists, but couple of weeks ago they got it all wrong. From the solo acoustic singer who had an out of tune guitar to the follow up band of kids that had something but really not exciting. This is the same venue where tough on tobacco and hypnotribe played and rocked, so hopefully this wednesday will have a better outcome. This week they have “Dream Out Loud”, a local rock band. See below for details.

Dream Out Loud is an idea which had begun a long time ago in the minds of 2 musicians. The style that they identified was rock. The sound of the electric guitar, bass and drums was enough to inspire them to create songs in the midst of the chaotic Mumbai lifestyle. “Human Race”, their 1st album was released independently by Dream Out Loud in 2007. The current line-up is Suraj on vocals, Chandresh on guitar, Melroy on bass and Sheldon on drums.

The entry is Rs. 500 which is a bit pricey but as long as it means support to local musicians I am game! They really do need to drop that one down so that the place is a bit more accessible to people who really are into music.

To get there check out this link – http://www.mumbaikar.com/en/directory/listing/mocha.html

We should be in the studio with this in April hopefully!
