It has been an amazing journey and am looking forward to seeing our agency grow to new heights. Thanks to all the Flippers in all the offices to making this day happen.

Yup, it’s out there and live. Now all the movie showtimes from Grand Cinemas, Reel Cinemas and Cinestar Cinemas in the UAE are on the iPhone. There is also a amazing mobile web version for those on other devices too.
So do check it out, download it and give us some feedback. We would love to hear from you all.
After a marathon team effort, the not for profit site for the Dubai Metro is now finally live. I hope this little contribution back to this great city helps in a little way. Really looking for some feedback and suggestions to make it better. Anyways, logon to www.mydubaimetro.com and give it a shot!

This is a brilliant facebook mockup page by Sage Stossel. Love the end with the Clintons

When you build a site these days you can’t risk being an island. We have to play well with others, which means build technologies and frameworks that help our site connect with other sites. We have been working hard behind the scenes on a few technologies for mumbaikar.com and some very helpful content as well.
Over the comng few weeks we will be adding lots of new features and posts about our city that will help it to become an indispensable resource for Mumbaikars.
Cheers!
So I called up the Etisalat 101 helpdesk to find out if I could subscribe to an iPhone plan without the iPhone since I already have one. And the lady on the helpdesk said it is “impossible”.
Now bear in my mind, I have an original O2 iPhone from the UK and I also have a Vodafone India iPhone account where i didn’t need to buy a new phone since I already have one, so the same logic should apply here as well right? Wrong!
Etisalat forces you to buy a new phone because their systems or contracts don’t accommodate for this. So by doing this they just created a barrier to entry. Think of all those Jailbroken phones that people have who would prefer to move on to the proper packages.
Here is the real kicker, I have a postpaid unlimited 10GB
data plan, which is cheaper than their most expensive data plan and has more bandwidth. I don’t know which moron created that pricing matrix but you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to realise that it makes no sense.
There were times when I felt really lazy whipping out the SLR, so the iPhone was the closest thing at hand. Surprisingly, with a little iPhoto touch up, these have a unique charm of their own. You never know when a good photograph will come by, so it was handy with the iPhone.
Hopefully with the new iPhone which I presume will be out in June or July they will up the megapixels and the quality a bit more, along with video capabilities. Thank god for the 4 track app I purchased, got a lot of interesting street sounds and singing from the local Rajasthani musicians
Guess this is the best part of the trip yet. Small little town with a great chilled out vibe! All of us are recuperating from the chaos of Jaipur and Jodhpur, so this came as a pleasant surprise. Strange thing though, seems to be a lot of Italian Restaurants in the fort, guess there must have been a few Italians who stuck around for a while here and taught the natives how to make a decent Pasta! My penne arabiatta was fab!
